You can support the Victim Assistance Program
in Summit County and victim rights throughout the nation in a number
of ways.
You can say "I’m sorry"
and mean it.
Do not blame or judge victims because
someone made a willful choice to harm them.
Promote victim’s rights. Write
to the politicians that represent you. Let the news media know
that you support victims.
Donate your time and talents to
helping.
Participate in the annual awareness building
and fundraising events sponsored by the Victim Assistance Program.
The Victim Assistance Program annually must raise at least one third
of its operating budget. Your participation in these events or donations
to our foundation enables us to continue to serve the needs of people
whose lives have been touched by violence or tragedy, as well as
allow us to sustain and expand our efforts to prevent violent crimes
through education and counsel.
